How it began…..

It was on the 27th July 2007 when it started and the date of 20th August 2007 the news broke out upon Mummy did home pregnancy test. However, this was not too certain as at that point Mummy was very much still on medications and the result may not be as accurate. With much hopes and anticipation, a check was followed at the HUKM by Professor Dr. Zainul Rashid, Head of O&G Faculty and the results came ‘Positive”. Thank God, Praised to Almighty Allah swt.

For more assurance, the Professor then took Mummy’s blood to perform more tests etc…and they were told to wait for the results after a week. After a week, Mummy called the Prof and they were shared that her blood count was between 20,000 to 30,000 counts and highly chances for carrying twins or more. More???

The Professor then fixes a date of 3rd September 2007 for next appointment. Then, on that 3rd September, he then performed the urine test and followed by the ultrasound scan, the news came to our parents that Mummy was having triplet pregnancy. However, the Professor did say that the third sac was kind of ‘fuzzy’ which may not develop and was told to come by again for another check on 01st October 2007.

01st October came and with much excitement and heart throbbing our parents went to the HUKM. Again another round of checked up was performed and finally to ultrasound when the sad news of that third sac had disappeared from Mummy womb. Even though it was a depressing to hear of the third sac lost, they were happy of the development of us in Mummy womb. Nevertheless, the Professor had asked Mummy to ensure of rest and not to move unnecessarily particularly during the first trimester of her pregnancy.

Taking that into considerations and with past unfortunate mis-carriages experience, decision was made that Mummy to be CRiB, Complete Rest in Bed! After couple days warded in hospital and due to some inconveniences, Daddy discussed this matter with the Professor and asked if Mummy could rest at home instead in the hospital and this was agreed by him with lots of advises and the Don’ts….and to come by the hospital on monthly check or whenever something alarming occur.

That’s how it had started until the full terms of pregnancy was reached at 39 weeks.

This was at 4weeks, 6 days.....

This was at 8 weeks...

Waiting for berbuka puasa. Mummy at 3 months pregnant. Mummy had to berbuka at this table and food is send to her as she can't move much.
