Last weekend, all of us drove down to Johor Bahru for adik Airin’s kenduri akikah. The whole journey was wet and took us some 4 hours instead of usual 3hours. On the other hand, itulah Rahmat Allah swt so everyone would not be speeding and pose high concentration on the road. Besides, we enjoyed it as it was pleasant weather, cooling and most importantly we got to watch Barney the whole way through….wasn’t that superb!
We reached Taman Rinting earlier by 2 hours then followed by the rest as they stopped at Pagoh RnR for nasi ambeng and durian….errmm. Everyone went back and immediately Nyaie and Atuk’s house was filled with much noice, running around, screeming, gang-fight..what else..??...basically, you name it, we got it there!!!
Next day, on Sunday at 1700 hrs the kenduri akikah started slightly delayed due to the heavy down fall and strong wind which almost blew the canopy which was set outside the house. The situation was so chaotic with electricity power cut-off, lightning etc..and that got us frightened too. But soon, the weather improved to much better and invitees started coming in to begin the occasion.
At night time, after solat maghrib and isyak, our house continued by another event which is the doa selamat and tahlil and this time was more for the men’s.
